We discovered a restaurant in Hawaii which we really enjoyed called "Shore Bird" - its in one of the hotels one Waikiki.
It's an open restaurant - there is no patio but if you are lucky enough to get a table around the circumference of the restaurant, you are on the beach. We were right on the beach and watched the surfers come in. Over to the left we could see Diamond Head and all along the outside of the restaurant we could see the big tiki torches. All of these pictures were taken from our table except for the ones by the grill.
You order your meat and they bring the raw meat to you for approval. If approved, then you go over to the grill which is on one side of the restaurant and stretches almost the length of the side of the restaurant (there are two of these grills). Room for lots of people to grill their food. It also has an open wall and you can see Diamond Head and the beach while you are grilling your steaks.
Since a lot of people do not know how to grill a steak, there are chefs walking around asking how you want it cooked and then advising how long to leave it on the grill. So, there is help. It was really a lot of fun!
We took our friends who live in Hawaii, Jeff and Natalie and the men grilled our steaks for us.
We got there before dark and watched the sun go down. It doesn't get much more romantic than that!
