On Wednesday, Dec. 31st we got our marriage license.

Because I was an out-of-state resident I could get married at the time we applied
for the license, but Bill had to wait for 3 days because he was a resident of Florida.

On Saturday night, January 3rd , Barbara Auvil married us in our home in a very
precious ceremony with my son, Joe, Bill's brother, Karl, and Bill's nephew, Karl, Jr. (Shorty) in attendance. Other guests were Barbara's husband, Jimmy, friends Bill Friss, Sam Himes, our neighbors, Kevin and Susan, and other neighbors, Pat and Patty.

We were married with the wedding band which my father gave to my mother. (My parents
were married 49 years when my father died.)

The appetizer table included a shrimp and crab cheesecake with crackers, sweet & sour
meatballs, a Mexican nacho dip, French onion dip, chocolate crackle cookies ,
Oreo truffles, and an assortment of sweets and chips.

The salad buffet included 4 salad dressings, a big bowl of lettuce, and individual heart-shaped
bowls of tomatoes, onions, carrots, cucumbers, and other salad ingredients.

Bill and Shorty made barbecue chicken on the grill and everyone
went home that after the wedding with plenty to eat!
