Trocadero

To the side of the Eiffel Tower, in the shadow of Palais de Chaillot is the Trocadero Fountain and gardens. This huge fountain sometimes has a bunch of powerful cannons splaying water everywhere, but on the day of our visit they weren't running which was okay, because I took the opportunity to rest my aching feet in the pool. There were so many people doing the same, there were even three teenagers frolicking and swimming in the deeper parts! The water was SO COLD, but refreshing!!

The picture of me in the lower right hand side of the right page is my absolute favorite pic of me from our trip, even with my hair in my face. It captured how excited and happy I felt to be on that trip, even though we were very tired - I was so elated that within a few moments I would be going up the Eiffel Tower!!
