You did a beautiful job on this LO. The colors and design pulled me in to have a closer look. But the journaling actually made me cry. I have been through many storms lately but have made the most wonderful friends through them. I'm glad your daughter was able to come through her storms and emerge with a newfound friendship she would have never known but for the storms.
Good luck in the contest. I think you have a winner here. :)
As a mother of an almost 14 year old...I can totally appreciate this page! TFS!!! It is absolutely wonderful! I LOVE the photo, the way you laid out the page and especially the poem...it's just very touching. Nicely done!!!
Wow, I really like this alot! I like everything about it! It is so different, I like how you put the journaling over the pic and left it uncluttered. Great LO!
I absolutely adore this, the colours remind me of the sea, which is also fits with the poem, beautifully simple
Am inspired to look through my dodgy photography efforts !!
My daughter had a really difficult year last year, but if not for all the hard times, she would never have met her friend Andy. This is a page which records the very first time they met in person. It was a beautiful moment!
The poem, "Storms", by Margie DiMerrell reads: There will be storms child There will be storms And with each tempest You will seem to stand alone Against cruel winds
But with time, the rage and fury Shall subside And when the sky clears You will find yourself Clinging to someone You would never have known But for storms.

The photo of the hug was meant to be a nice clear head shot. Boy, did I mess that up! However, when I found that poem, it fit the photo and their story so well, I just knew I had to turn it into a scrapbook page. This is the second page like this that I have made. The original page was created as a gift for Andy, and it is now in his scrapbook in Switzerland.
