This is a photo of my grandparents wedding (approx 1935). My grandpa was around 16 and grandma was around 13. They themselves dont know their exact ages because no one kept records. My grandma was an orphan and thus married off as soon as she came of age. It developed into true love born of genuine affection. My grandfather worships my grandma and she sees him as her hero for rescuing her from a desperate situation.
While even I find it hard to grasp, what I do understand is their undying love for one another which shows in the simplest things. Being uneducated, they were determined to see their children through school and struggled to give them the best. This has passed on through the generations into a love of studying- with most of us being university graduates- we owe it all to them. I thank God for them and their love for us and each other.
Unbelievably I got hold of the negative which was the size of an envelope!! I probably should have gone to a specialist to get it printed but that will happen when i have more time! I think i need to scrap this LO and do another one that does the print more justice, but I thought I would put this up anyway.
