That so nice to have some family history. It's also very interesting. I love that you scrapped this pic in the brighter colors. Some of those heritage pages can be so dreary!
Totally lovely vintage page from the colors to the design!! Was in an antique shop today and they are selling someone's ??? family photos from about this period because no one else in the family wanted them-imagine!! Anyway=love the elements and story behind the photo!! jen
what an awesome picture. Really like your journaling. Because you wrote what you did down just think of how many people in the generations to come will now know something about your grandma and her brother- very cool.
Fantastic layout! The best thing about it is the journaling! Years from now, I don't think our grandchildren will care too much if we used the most popular paper or not. What will be valuable to them is the priceless information about their relatives in the pictures! Great job!
I love heritage pages and yours is wonderful! I am hoping to do 2 albums someday with old photos of my family and my husband's family - grandparents, parents, etc.
What an awesome lo ALicia!!! I LOVE THIS!!! I love heritage & this is perfect!! I love the back story! what a wealth of knowledge and interesting lives our "old" photos have!! This is just PERFECT!! It's a fav & inspire!! LOve it!!! tfs:)
It's Flashback Friday, time for a heritage page. Today's challenge was to dig up an old photo and journal about that person. I found this old photo which was marked "Grandma and Clarence" and had no idea which Grandma this was or who Clarence was at all. So, I called my Mom up and found out this was my Grandma Baney (fka Boyer) and her brother, Clarence. I never knew him since he died well before I was born. I did get some family history about him from my Mom and journaled about him. Apparently, he owned a movie theatre and was rather wealthy, bragging that he made much more money from the popcorn than he did the movie tickets. He was also the first one in the family to ever divorce, and he died in his 50's with lung cancer. My Grandma was the oldest of 8 children, having 6 brothers and 1 sister. It was very interesting getting these details down about them. Thanks for looking. Alicia
