For Jamariel's Monthly Sketch Challenge - Week 4, with the twist.
Journaling: We were at a small bar in Vallejo listening to a friend's band play. One of the bands that followed them was Natives of the New Dawn. Top Notch musicians (upright bass, keys & percussion) that kick out sick grooves with intelligence. When we heard they were coming to Roseville a few months later, we knew we had to make the trip up to see them again.
The shoe embellishment in the upper right hand corner represents one of our favorite songs of theirs, Old Shoes.
The twist was sewing on the layout.
I went kind of crazy on the colors here but I was inspired by his awesome hamburger shirt :)
