Love the bannerwork for this one! Also, the kiddos look like they are just resting & taking a break from 'all the happiness' & or never-ending rolls of photos is all! I might even go as far to say, I think we've all lived that very moment at some point in the Disneyland/CA Adventure Day! ;)
How fun, and what a fun layout. Love the way you did the banner as your title. Pom pom ribbon and mickey are a perfect touch. Such great papers for this one.....
Kelly, I really L*I*K*E the non-traditional way you scrap booked a Disney page on this lo! Everything flows so nicely and wait, what ... no more Dumbo Ride??? In any event, the banner with a title ... B*R*I*L*L*I*A*N*T and the pom-pom ribbon border is the B*E*ST! Great pics!
I love how playful and busy and colorful this is - a perfect summation of Disneyland. Your stitched banner is adorable. Did you use a triangle punch to make the banner? Love how you added the title there.
Great Disney page. Love the pps and colors and design and the title work and banner looks great. I only just recently stitched on a layout for the first time ever and ran out of floss when I was almost done. Oh well you can't tell. Disneyland is my and my dds favorite place to go so I love seeing photos..makes we want to go again...maybe I'll just do another page now that I'm all inspired.
Love the sewn banner and pompoms, Kelly. You were in my neck of the woods....I am a 25 minute drive from D-Land. Cute page design. NICE pattern mix. I always love it when people hand write the journaling....puts a little of YOU on the page. SUper idea to get the Mickey image from the internet. :)
Fabulous!!! I love that it's a Disney page without the traditional Disney colors and pp's. How fun!!! The first time my family went to Disney World my ds Keenan was 15, dh 49 and I was 47. We all walked as 5 year olds. It was priceless!
You are too funny!!! So you ran out of thread at the end? ARGH!!! I like your computer print out of Mickey....it is perfect!! The picture you are referring to with your teenagers not looking so happy lol...where they are drinking slushies (or something) is so funny!! You are so right, they look like they are so over being kids at Disney lol. Can;t believe you got Fast Passes...bet that was way cool.
Glad you & your family got to do this when you were in CA! Great design and love the fun colors you used too-great banner!! Enjoyed reading your journaling!! jen
I don't know if I'm loving the sight of your BEAUTIFUL LO more or the memories of our trip, almost twenty years ago! AWESOME LO.....esp, the banner, journaling and your GORGEOUS LO, Kelly. Hey.....I am going to take a NAP for BOTH OF US!!! LOL....hugs to you!!!
I really need to go to Disney! What a cool layout. Love the banner--I like Mickey in the scalloped circle. I don't think you can ever outgrow Disney...I love them! Great layout!
Now you know teenagers have got to look cool at all times, and smiling definitely doesnt fit the cool look! Love the page, esp the bright colours and journalling.
Too cute kelly...love the title banner and the stitching WAS worth all your aggravation...and yes I've ran outta thread LOTS of times GRRR!Love the pompom trim ...I have some in red but have never known what to do with it! Guess I haven't done a Fun enough LO!I love borrowing images off the internet! Great fun family page!
I keep wanting to do a flag banner for one of my Disney pages!!!! this rocks!!!!! I can't say I loved space mountain, but I loved the other two rides...and I couldn't agree more YOUR NEVER TOO OLD FOR DISNEY!!!! fabulous design, love the banner, and your comments about your teenagers cheerful smiling faces (?) made me laugh! I know you have seen some of my Disney layouts ....you'd think we had taken them to 'torture land"!! FANTASTIC layout! LOVE it!!!
Where would we be without the internet?? This looks like so much fun, I always wanted to go there, somehow... I don't like my chances but I love looking at everyones pics. Can only imagine how great it must be. Love your banner and the stitching, all the pics and the journaling in the shape! Fantastic!!
This is such a great layout, Kelly! It really reminds me of a gret big smile!!! I love your banner and your stitching!!!! Well worth the trouble, even when you run out of thread!! And that Mickey is adorable! I love your happy photos! (Where's Mickey's big hair???)
down right adorable lo. love your family photos, the journaling, the banner with your stitching, the pompoms, i could go on forever. it all came together, creating the perfect disneyland lo.
Oh what fun! I love the half circle with the banner around it at the bottom. Nice designing! Your journaling is really sweet too. You captured just the right amount of info, and you're lucky, your handwriting is neat and consistent! What a super fam photo on the right, and I love that pic on the left - everyone just looks so THRILLED lol, or is it just the exhaustion of Disney? hehe I love all the colors and patterns you were able to mix here!!
Oh Kelly this looks fantastic! What a fun LO! Love how you used the banners! The Fancy Pants ball trim looks perfect with this LO! Love the colours and pp's you used! And yes - the internet is a fantastic resource!! hehe
Love how fun this is! Great combo of photos, pps and graphics! Your trims are fantastic - what says good times better than pompom fringe and ricrac? Nothing!! K, so I just zoomed in and it is not ricrac around Mickey but a scalloped circle, oh well, it says FUN too! Love those fancypants brads and your design is awesome; busy enough to convey the excitement of Disneyland but not enough to distract from the pics! Great job, Kelly!
You are soooo creative!!! Love the banner. and nice stitching lol. And you're right noone is ever to old for disneyland! As a matter of fact my hubby and I made Disneyworld a part of our honeymoon!! =)
Second lo of our California trip...of course, had to do a page of the "park"...the "Happiest Place on Earth"...not that you'd know it by my teenagers' faces! LOL! We did have loads of fun even if I didn't get loads of good photos :) Back using FancyPants here..."About a Girl" collection. Even the brads are FancyPants "Roadshow". The Black alpha is Teresa Collins. My second attempt at stitching too (across the top of the banner) and it was slightly less painful than last time. But have you ever run out of thread with 2 stitches left??? Arrrgghh! I downloaded the Mickey Mouse image off the internet (what a great resource for scrapping!!!) Thanks for looking :)
