Yes, it is a hidden ironing board. My husband actually gave me that for our 10th anniversary. I actually asked for it, too. It is very cool, swings both forward and back so I can leave it out and push out of my way. And...yes there's more, he bought the one with a light in the top and a power outlet. He's the best DH.
I'm also a quilter and I use it for that mostly. But now that you mention heat embossing sure seems easier than that hair dryer looking thing I've got. Gonna have to try it out now.

OH MY GOSH!!! makes me want to come over and throw paper, brads, pucnhouts, scraps and stuff all over that desk!!!
Awweee... I should only dream of a scraping room!!! LOL... when I am 60!! That is when Avery will turn 18!!! sigh!
I have little space for my scrapbooking, but the Cropper Hopper trolley, 2 CraftStor buckets and one little rolling basket store most of my stuff. I have 2 small plastic cabinets with drawers that store the rest of it. But all the paper is on the trolley now. I keep all the stickers in binders on the bottom of the trolley. Quickutz and Sidekick, with all the dies. are in small bucket and Crop in Style bag on top of it. I have 2 embellishment boxes on the red cart. One is for ribbon/fibers and the other has all my brads/eyelets. Large bucket has all the buttons, slide mounts, scissors, punches, cutting tools, etc.
