SHCG: Stellar LO! The journaling is heartfelt and heart wrenching, and I wouldn't change a word. I was a bit stunned to see arms, but then again, they are your parents and had a hand in how you turned out (excellent BTW). The birds are very cool and your clouds are wonderful The Balloon and basket are amazing. You keep out doing yourself!
SHCG: Love, love this one! The hot air balloon is great, so are your parents! I think you can make the balloon connect to the basket with ropes. I love your journaling, and I bet your parents are proud of everything you do! Love it!
SHCG: I love this....I personally would've made the balloon look more like the basket was hanging down from the balloon with strings, so it would frame your parents.....that's all i would change
SHCG: WOwww love the hot air baloon! The text is again really moving...it's really interesting because you say that you're struggling but isn't that a struggle that we all face all our lives..to me it IS endless but if we weren't working towards something then what would the pont be? I may sound crazy sorry haha but I love the journaling! I like how there are clouds infront of the baloon too and that the basket of the baloon also looks 2D, it adds a lot of interest to the page.
SHCG: You fashioned a beautiful hot air balloon out of lovely pps. I love the outfits you created for your parents, and that you have them with an arm around each other while the other holds a little something special. So cute that you put a brad over the camera lens. The journaling is so touching, but it makes me sad. This is not a critique, just a personal observation I want to share since I've gotten to know you a little better, so I apologize, but I wish there was a more positive spin on the good qualities I know you've inherited from your parents and the pride I know they have for your individual talents. Sorry if this seems like I'm blowing some hot air at you. :D On a more scraftangible note, I'd like to see a little more texture by adding some ropes (twine) anchoring the balloon to the basket. Love the texture in the clouds, the bird images, and inked edges. Very cool how you used smaller hills here to give the illusion that they're far away.
SHCG: Love the hot air balloon! The journalling feels like wind pushing the balloon; like the movement that gives the page. The camera and the bird are super cool accents. Very nice!
SHCG - Marvelous work yet again, Brian! I continue to love your array of materials & patterns. Your parents are cute in the awesome balloon-in-the-sky scene you set up & - wait - they have arms! You are full of surprises. The journaling is poignant & heartfelt. This is brilliant as is but I'm kinda wishing there were some of those scattered staples here, since I've grown to see & like them on this book's pages.
