Wow!! You had a busy day, on dance day. Know the children loved all that you did with them. How funny, you could run the studio if you called it a "CLUB". Like the black and white photo....good job on this!!!
That stands for Garden Grove Studio Club, the name of my dance studio, back in the 60s. Since it was held in a residential area, the police told me I could legally run it, if it were, say............a CLUB. Hence, the name. It was a dance studio, & the money for lessons was under the catagorie "club dues." We had the mothers form the 'club' part'...everything above board & legal. This way, I was able to give lessons to those who could not afford the big studios. We ended up with about 88 kids a week!!! This l/o is of the first Halloween party back in '64. We had to have 3 parties: one for the babies, one for the kids 7-12 & one for the teens. Every holiday we did this. During the summer, after the first class, the students would go swimming, while the 2nd class took to the floor. This went on all day long, so I only taught once a week. More about the "doings" in the next l/o. Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy.. ;)
