Journaling reads - You were born nearly three months early at 2 lbs 10 oz.. You spent the first six weeks of your life in the NICU at the Memorial Hermann Hospital. You have always been a very special baby and a very special boy. You don’t do things on other peoples time frames – you do them on your own. Your daddy and I have never spent a single second being embarrassed by you. In fact, just the opposite is true because we are absolutely proud of everything you do. You didn’t sit until you were 14 months old. You are 18 1/2 months old right now and you still don’t stand on your own. Other people think you should be walking by now --- You know what I think? SO WHAT!! You will do those things when you are good & ready. I have no doubt in my mind that you are smart and able. So sit back and take your time and anybody who feels differently can answer to me. I am after all your mother and I know you better than anyone else. I bet you graduate at the top of your class but if you don’t? SO WHAT! I will still love you and one thing I guarantee is that will never change!!
