SHCG: I love that you created your own pp! I also really like your photo placement and captioned pics. I kinda wish the picture of Carol blowing the noisemaker and the two above it were scooted over to the right, and the fun title moved to just above that Carol pic. The one of Carol laughing as she's reading a card and the decorative pics make me wish for a little bit more journaling on the spread, like funny quotes overheard and where the party took place. I think I'm just looking for one more element to add even more variety and a finishing touch to your festive lo.
SHCG: How fun! Just LUV the festive balloons. Great job with the stenciling. My "food for thought" has to do with the placement of the photos. I would have looked at having the two "frontal" images of the birthday girls "front & centered" on your pages. Maybe even make the photos a little larger and add a mat to show them off (could even throw on a little bling). Then I would place the support photos around the birthday girl photos. The two birthday girl photos (the frontal face ones) could be side by side on one page or 1 centered on each page. When I say centered I mean in the center of the page (or general area) but you can still rotate the image slightly to add interest. I do like what you have created but I think the pages lack a focal point and the birthday girls get lost among the photos. As I said earlier this is "food for thought" meaning something to think about next time, "What is my most important photo and where do I place it to maximize it's impact". PS The balloons are fantastic. Hope to see them again.
SHCG - Love this, Michelle! Awesome incorporation/placement of many pics, the rounded corners look good & as Chris said, the writing fills in the basic info about your subjects. I so dig your use of stencils & colored pencils, gives a fresh & unique look. Festive & fun job on this!
shcg - I love all of the balloons. They add such a festive feel to this piece. Your writing on the photos adequately took care of the whos, whats and whens. Great job on a pattern paper-less LO!
This is from a family get together to celebrate my sister and Carol's birthdays. The design on the background paper is from a stencil and I used colored pencils.
