Fabulous lift!! You have some beautiful elements on here!! Love all the yummy layers and the bling ;) Great quote for that pic, which is wonderful too!!
thanks for joining me in the quote challenge! I love how you scraplifted timetoscrapforme's gallery because it just so happens she's my best friend! You did a great job with the lift!
Pat, this is absolutely stunning - really. Wow. The pearly flourishes and all the sparkle with the neutral pp's are just perfect. So much detail -- it's incredible. Love it!
Lovely in every way! I am no fan of winter either but your LO makes it a little more bearable! at least, it reminds me that there is beauty in this season! I love how all your embellishments bring to mind swirling wind and snow!
this is gorgeous! Love the pearls and all the shimmery accents;the pps are perfect, as are the vellum snowflakes! I feel the same as you about the winter, but this page almost makes it feel like a thing of beauty!!....almost...
I don't even know where to begin.....this is such a stunning layout...You did a marvelous job with this and I love every single detail of it especially the bling with the icicles hanging from it, so gorgeous. Wonderful work on this Pat and in my favs!
Pat this is exquisite. I think the photo is special because it is a part of who you are - dedicated to who you choose to be in this world! I just love how you layered all the papers and the beautiful bling. Your icicles ae so gorgeous - it just is so beautiful!
Oh, Pat! This is so lovely! You did an amazing job! I love the crystal border with the glittery icicles hanging from it! The distressing and inking awesome!
This is my entry for the Scrap Your Favorites and Quote Challenges for February. It's also my sample for Week 1 of the Monochrome Challenge which I host here on SB.com.
I did a lift of timetoscrapforme's Snow Daze layout. You can see it here.
It was such a pretty layout, and I loved it the minute I saw it and wanted to do something similar. I hope I did it justice, even though my photo is nowhere near as special as hers! The papers are from Hobby Lobby - I didn't have any light blue in my stash at all, and I was in Midwest City yesterday anyway, so I stopped in and grabbed something I hoped would work. I like how they went together.
I did a little fussy cutting, some painted bling, a few die cut snowflakes from colored vellum, and a couple of stamps. The icicles are cut from a glittered cardstock type paper - a little heavy for fussy cutting but I did the best I could with it. The pearl string is something my sister found for me in her travels, and the little pearl grommets are from my vintage button stash.
It was a REALLY hard layout to photograph. The color palette of light blue and soft browns either wanted to be too blue or too yellow. I finally took it into the shade, bumped the camera to "self portrait," zoomed in really close, and got something pretty close to what it really looks like. It's much more "blingy" in real time.
The photo sort of speaks for itself when you consider the quote. I hate the cold, and I REALLY hate when it snows because morning chores become impossibly hard. Add to that, this this past snowfall was brutal - there were drifts in my pasture well over my head. But the livestock has to be tended, regardless of what mother nature does, so I just shoveled a path from the porch to the pasture to make feeding easier.
