This is my attempt at the Homemade Challenge over at Swirlydoos.com-I had alot of fun with this one!!
The pic I used is one that my cousin took on her cell phone so the quality was not very good, but I worked with it in photo shop to get it as optimal as possible. There was just something so sweet and wonderful captured in this photo that I couldn't let it pass. It was taken at my Grandfather's funeral and shows my grandmother leaning out of the car to kiss little Emmie(my cousin's daughter) on the head. It captures a moment that embraced who my Grandmother was-a little slice of sweetness!! Just a few weeks later she would follow my Grandfather home, therefore the title "A Kiss Goodbye".

*The only thing that I didn't make was the background pp (from kit)
*Punched the lace around the edges from kit pp
*Fussy cut the leaves from some flocked pp
*Made all the flowers using cardstock, liquid pearls and the kit stickles-roses were created from Lisa Gregory's tut on the Tutorials page, cabage roses were created from a tut by Gabrielle Pollacco on her blog-Such A Pretty Mess, the small pointed roses were my own design
*The banner is created from pieces that I cut from the Moulin Rouge cards in the kit, I then stamped the letters and added stickles, I made the ribbon using Lisa G's dyed seam binding tut in the tips and tricks forum
*I printed the butterflies from Lisa G's butterfly page in the tips and tricks forum and gussied them up with black smooch paint from a previous kit and some stickles
*The rest of the title was stamped
*I painted the swirl onto the corner of the pic and fussy cut one of the M.R. cards from the kit to make the frame
*I cut the little bird from a pic I printed out and used Utee on it to get the glass apprearance

TFL!
