I love this page. Where did your mom get the bird ? I love him. I have the daffodils and paper. I am doing a page something like this with my son by his small backyard pond he made. Hope you don't mind the lifting. Love the way you did the ripples in the water also.
What a creative LO - I'll tell ya, that Chez is an angel here at SB.com sending you such great punched goodies. Your mom - (who is a gifted artist also) may have given you the inspiration, but you RAN with it. Great page full of fun details. Very cool that your frog trusts and loves visits from you.
This is really something! i like the way you mirrored the elements in the picture to the LO! Very clever, the reeds and the frog....then the reptile texture....the water in the background, stunning!
This is gorgeous!!! Love the punched cardstock..such a beautiful pattern, the pic is super-cute (I love frogs..) and your cute little insect embellies and reeds look just perfect with that pic :))
WOW Laura!!!!!! This is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo PRETTY!!!!! I never would have dreamed that a lo of a frog could look like this! Fabulous work, my friend!!!!
this is terrific Laura-now I had a chance to "meet" one of the little pond frogs you told me about! The water lily looks great made with the folded flower and I love those bullrushes!Chez is definitely the queen of punchwork;so nice of her to share some with you!
Lots of pretty details here; love your handmade water lily, bullrushes and simulated water swirl. Beautiful, textured, alligator paper & design. Cute ant stamp along with the punched paper from Chez too. With ALL your froggy pets, I am going to start calling you, "the frog lady", LOL. FAVES
so many wonderful little details make up this AWESOME scene you created to display your great photo. I especially love the lily pad and water lily you made. GREAT lo.
The punched frame with the stickles looks amazing here with your cool froggy photo!!!!! I love all of your details on your page, especially the embossed paper and frog on the lily-pad! And your stamped ants!!!! This is awesome!!!!!!!
This is so delightfully adorable!! I love the photo and you have created a fabulous design. The little frog on the lilypad is just the cutest and the ants are just perfect here! Absolutely love it!!!
Wow, Laura - I'm impressed with a number of things here - your photo, the placement of it and your embellishments, hand drawing and that fabulous lacy border! Who took the picture of your hand/frog? Great job with this - does the frog have a name?
oh my there... one very appealling lil creation.. luv that foto of mr frog and all those awesome details...the daffodils and bird is very cute as are all the lil ants
This photo shows my hand with one of the frogs from my pond sitting on it. He just likes to climb aboard!
Thank-yous go to Cheryl ("Chez49"), who very kindly surprised me with punched cardstock (lots of it!), and to my mom ("Quick Silver"), who gave me the daffodils and bird and the inspiration to do a layout.
I hand-cut the lily pad, inked the edges, folded a silk flower to look like a water lily, and added a mirrored frog. I also handmade the bull rushes, using a Cricut cartridge for the leaves. The blue paper in the background has the image of water on it, and I drew with Stickes to create ripples.
