Pirates

This double layout was from our Disney Cruise, my son loved meeting the characters and on Pirate night, they were all dressed up as Pirates. When I saw this kit for July I knew it would be perfect for a Pirtates themed layout.

Techniques
The first thing I did was cut the letters and the journaling card from the Vintage Alphabet Quotes Sheets (don't forget to save the quotes to use later!)
Then I took the two canvas boards inked with the Maraschino cherry ink around the outside, and Midnight Confessions ink in the inside.
For the Pirate hat on the tag I used a piece of leftover ribbon from the kit and inked the edges. Some of the edges started to fray so I put some of the Beacon 3 in 1 glue on my finger and ran it along the edges of the chipboard. The grungeboard skull I painted cream color and when it was dry blotted it with the Midnight Confession ink.
