Give a Cheer
As much as I am still fond of my ex-husband (and we remain on good terms) he was an academic and literally could not change a light bulb. My Dad was the ultimate in practical and could turn his hand to anything, and my dear sweet new husband of 5 weeks is like my dear Dad, who died just two years ago. I'm happy that Dad and Neil spent time together and that Dad approved! I left Neil some secret journalling which reads:
Since we moved into our cottage 11 months ago, you have: Painted all the kitchen and the dining area; painted my scraproom; made me a custom-built spice rack in the kitchen; made a rack for all my scrapping punches; built us a completely new ensuite shower; made two state-of-the-art compost heaps; re-built the garden shed; fixed the aerial and security light outside. Its a wonder you had time to go to work AND get married, my darling Mr Fix-it!
