This is a poem I wrote for Logan:
I sometimes wonder how it is god creates a masterpiece like you?
Does one ever turn out wrong?
And if so what does he do?
Does he wrinkle up his nose and sigh and run his fingers through his hair?
Does he move one ear and then the next or a mouth from here to there?
How does he make each one unique and different from the rest?
Not one of us look quite alike,
And yet we&#8217;re each he best.
I suppose it&#8217;s like a scrapbook page,
It can start with just one line,
And pretty soon there&#8217;s a lot of lines,
And you&#8217;re one of a kind.
And sometimes he&#8217;s inspired by other handiwork, people already there.
And makes a person with mothers smile,
And his father&#8217;s head of hair.
When he made you Logan,
He put your ears on straight.
And then affixed a smile of gold and your mommy&#8217;s nose,
But wait&#8230;
Where did you get those eyes of blue?
Not from mom or dad.
God gave them too you specially,
So you could break the girls heart&#8217;s bad.
Everyday you grow and change,
You look like your daddy more.
And every day I thank god above,
For his masterpiece we cherish and adore!
