Great lo and story! I love those little butterflies at the top and how distressed and old everything looks! super job! those cookies look like they are sitting right on the paper!
This lady was my husbands Aunt Marian. I was a very young mother when she gave me this recipe for cutout cookies 50+ years ago. I barely knew how to bake and had two little girls who wanted us to make them:) The journaling reads: It was always fun for our little family to visit Pete's Aunt Marian, Uncle Bob, Vern and Carol. Our two girls loved to be with Carol in her room. Aunt Marian would welcome us into their little home, always willing to share whatever they had. One time, she had made Christmas "cut out" cookies. Our girls loved them! Deb and Ter were about 1 and 2. I was still a teen, just starting to get into baking. So, I asked for the recipe which she willingly gave. It has since become a treasured recipe and tradition for us to make Aunt Marian's "cut out" cookies! Thanks to Amanda for her tag(again:) and both papers!! Love that teal cardstock, I still have some left!
