Do you have any male canary's that would have fertilized it. I've always heard that if they lay the egg without the male to fertilize it it's just an egg and never becomes a bird. Am I saying that right. Our cocketiel use to drop eggs from time to time and that's what I was told.
This is Autumn, my other female canary, having some calcium. About a week or so ago I found an egg in her nest. Unfortunately the next morning it was on the cage floor, destroyed. Sadly, I don't think it would have hatched any way....I miss having baby canaries as it's been years since I've had any. She and I appreciate your comments!
