Darling baby pic of your mom...your flowers are beautiful and I love the little jack in the box...the coloring of that stem and those leaves is gorgeous.
Note to self: start using more purple in my lo's!! This is beautiful. What a treasured photo of your Mom and you did a wonderful job scrapping it. You hid your goof very well, that's what I love about scrapping, it's pretty easy to fix mistakes without having to start all over on the project!
I absolutely LOVE this page, Vickie! I love how you saved the fram from the garbage after stitching it! WOW! S0 gorgeous And I love how you did your other stitching on your page, too! That photo of your mom is a treasure! You scrapped it beautifully and with such creativity, my friend! I love the vibrant background!
so glad you found a way to work the frame in especially after all that stitching! Turned out great. I'll have to look into that Cricut cartridge and check out all the designs on it. That frame is so cute! Love the tissue paper leaves also. Cute LO!
Wow.... look at all those wonderful techniques here.... your stitching is great and about that flower Cluster...well.. you know, I have had more than one success after a near disaster like that, too!! hee hee.. What a precious photo of your Mom.... Beautiful Page... :)
Definitely a precious photo...beautifully scrapped! Lovely colors, Vickie! I think you had a happy accident because the placement of the flowers is just perfect! A wonderful heritage page and you win for using the heritage word of the month "gussied" hee hee.
Your Moms photo as a baby is just to cute! Great stitching on the frame! Glad you didn't junk it, the flowers look beautiful & I luv how you created the stem by inking the tissue pp! Your so creative!:)
Wowzer 1934! That's just awesome and what an adorable picture of Mom! Good luck with the Heritage Challenge this month! One of the reasons I love paper crafting so much is it's forgiving nature. You can flub up something and then just make a few adjustments and recover to the point that no one knows! Just love that little mistakes are opportunities for us to be even more creative! lol This is such a springy lo. I'm loving all that flower work and your stitching is just divine!
Mishaps are simply opportunities for creativity, and it looks like yours definitely worked that way. The floral feature is beautiful. I love the big flower - it's beautiful!
great save! the flower cluster is just where it should be and looks very pretty! love how you have added the toys to the cluster. love the colour of the background pp. lovely old photo & gorgeous LO!
I LOVE this. So neat to see a heritage lo with so much bright, vibrant color. I never would have guessed that the flower cluster was due to an oopsie (sometimes oopsies can be a blessing in disguise). Very cute photo and nice stitching work. Well done!
Awwwwwwwww, what a sweet old photo Vicki!!!!! I love the color combo.... so very fitting for Spring time & all your pretty posies are perfectly placed ... inkpad mishap or not!!!
This is so very precious, to use the title!! What a remarkable frame! And your "save" after the mishap is just beautifully rendered!! Delightful in every way, with lovely color and detail!!! And a darling photo of your Mom!!
Sometimes beauty comes from mishaps and your arrangement looks great! I love your large flower too! Did you make that one as well? The colors you used and very fun and happy! Perfect for that baby photo!
WOWWWWWZZZZERS! The colors of your tissue flower are so Beautiful! the frame looks so perfect! Love the picture and the way you framed it! Everything is just Perfect! Fav!
Wow! Those colors just pop and that photo of your mom is definitely "precious". Love your stitching and I also think it looks like you planned the flowers. They look great and the little toys are so sweet! Also love that big flower and how you stitched the stem. Great heritage lo!!!
very adorable and ever so cute..your mum looks like a gorgoeus little doll and the frame looks so cute...never would have known you had an accident with the ink but luv how you created the cover up....xo
I love the way this turned out...sometimes fate guides our hand and sometimes it makes us drop the ink pad... your layout looks like you planned it this way! Great job on stamping those die cuts and stitching those swirls! The jack in the box is adorable!
1934 - that darling precious baby is my Mom. This is for the April Heritage challenge. The frame was cut on the cricut with the Elegant Edges cartridge and I "gussied" it up a little by stitching some random swirls on it. The flower arrangement was "born" after I dropped my ink pad on the frame and after all that stitching I definitely needed to save it from the trash which was where it was headed after the mishap!!! The large leaves and flower stem were pieces of white tissue paper that I inked. The alphies are from a RAK I received months ago from cndgay (cindy) - thanks a million.
