OMG Kitty!!!!!! You are such FUN ! Totally love your leather & goggles!!!! Your ride is such fun too! The zipper is perfect..... it all makes for a fabulous work of art!
Have fun in Australia, EK and Chena!!!!! Looks like you are having one heck of a great time. And I must say, you are much cooler than Snoopy's Joe Cool, act, anyday, EK! Your layout is scrapped to perfection!!!!!!!
EEEEEK!!!!! No, that's not short for Escape Kitty, that's me screaming because I thought that I had left a purrfectly apt comment about your awesomeness in Leather & Lace. Maybe I was distracted by the ear worm that you've created; I can't seem to get Stevie Nicks out of my head...
Well, I do wish that I could afford a trip to Australia so that I could see you:
Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way
(Now get Steppenwolf out of YOUR head...)
And I do want to compliment you on your pawsitively awesome attire and really gorgeous and innovative design. Kudos to Jen for the zipper; special kudos to Kimmy for the peeled rubber!!!!
Heavens no . . . monster?! Not our suave and debonair Ms EK! I find her latest sartorial experiment to be elegant as well as functional in her travels through the Outback! BTW the layout is nice too! It displays your dynamic and adventurous style excellently!
I'm glad EK is enjoying her trip down under! love the tyre marks. I hope she was driving on the left hand side of the road and they weren't from her having to swerve across from the right! great combination of leather & lace. awesome LO!
I've got to say, Kitty, you always seem to travel in style!!! Love everything about this, especially the tire tracks, zipper, and those little touches of lace!
EK you make a Great Biker Chick! Love the goggles and all the rubber you left in your wake! Wonderful fun lo! Watch out for the dingos they'll be hot on your beautiful tail! fav!
LOL @ Renea and Chez! You two really know how to make me smile! :-) This LO is fantastic, Jen, the tire tracks came out great, although the lo was already first class without them. Fantastic photo editing work here, being able to see Kitty's eyes through the goggles, is really neat. I love all the tough biker touches, but there's still enough girly softness in this page for Kitty to retain her 'feminity'. Gorgeous work as always. Have fun on the road EK, just watch your speed and lookout for highway patrol......
EK you are so dazzling in leather and lace, and this layout is just beyond fabulous and fun! Wow! Kudos to that Kimmy for the ideal of the tire tracks-she is just so cool for a human, is she not? Love the story, the photos, and the layout! All around perfection in my book and so into my FAVS it goes!
Wow EK, you are one cool and crazy cat!! And you sure know how to choose your wheels! Also you are incredible with paper, scissors and glue, making this gorgeous page, is there anything you can't do??!!?? Love the lace vs leather look, wonderful contrast!
Talk about "a real cool kat" holy cow, I can't believe ES is driving!!!!! "AUSSIES BEWARE" should have been written on that camper before they took off......FAV!!!!
created using the Scraps Of Darkness Kits (Best Kit on the Planet if you ask me!) , CSI-Color, Stories Inspiration case file #15, and with the design sketch of the month from Dusty Attic.
So what's Kitty's tough edgy look all about? Escape Kitty and her Standard Poodle pup friend, Chena, have been touring Australia these last several weeks. Kitty tries really hard to keep up with the ever energetic Chena, but her cat legs wear out fast and the desire to nap takes over.
In an effort to keep on sightseeing, she's had to be creative and use her imagination to find transportation. She's done well so far by hopping a ride in a Kangaroo's pouch but the Kangaroo had to part ways and hop on home. Her next brilliant idea involves wheels, leather and goggles.
Did you ever wonder where the ruffians stay when they are in the outback? They camp. In this orange camper driven by Miss Kitty, herself. Oh my goodness, can you picture them now bumping along down the highway? If you see them, just give a little wave and steer clear or better yet, turn the other way. There's no vouching for Kitty's driving abilities.
One of the suggested elements this week was to include a "monster"in your layout. Well now, I'd have to argue that Escape Kitty falls into that category, because I really have created a monster outta that little Kitty.
I used a few Dusty Attic pieces here in my layout. First, the Barb Wire DA0154. Then I used a Paris Post Mark DA0320.
I must give props to many people for making this particular adventure possible.
- Thanks to my dear friend Kim C, or KimmyC70 at Scrapbook.com for the suggestion to add tire tracks to the layout. Kitty left some tire tracks as she peeled rubber. I am not even sure how Kitty can "peel rubber" with a camper - yet another reason you should be turning AWAY from her if you see her. Kim is so very inspirational and creative and I often seek her help for scrappy 911 assistance. Thanks Kim.
- The photo was donated to Escape Kitty by Maryanne Stanford, aka Oziem at Scrapbook.com. Mayanne's gallery is simply amazing. Maryanne is currently traveling OUT of the country. What does THAT tell you? She lends Kitty a motorcycle and then promptly leaves the area? See what I'm saying about Kitty's skills? Thanks Maryanne.
- Thanks to Maggi Harding for letting Chena travel with Miss Kitty and trusting your beloved pup with my crazy wild Kitty. Maggi's collaboration on the Escape Kitty Adventures is so much fun. Maggi also has additional adventures on her blog, along with mind blowing artwork. Thanks Maggi.
- Thanks a million to Michelle Grant at Dusty Attic for this wonderful design. She really has a gift for sketches.
