I do the same thing with my Chinese take out containers, they're very sturdy and useful to just throw away. They hold my silk flowers I've bought and taken apart.

Chinese Take Out trays hold many types of items

I use them to hold the extra die cut flowers I make, smaller pieces of cardstock that are leftover from a project, tools, etc. What makes them really nice is they stack with a lip that keeps them from sliding.
