27-The plumeria is blooming. I think Don brought this one back from Hawaii and planted it. The flowers are pretty, but I’m not a fan of their fragrance or the look of the plant. 28-We splurged at Whole Foods and bought filets to grill on Memorial Day. Don also picked up a cherry pie with crunch topping. Love me some cherry pie! 29-We are finally getting some much-needed rain. It’s good to see a few puddles outside for a change. 30-Don added another absolutely essential piece of equipment to his boat: a trolling motor. I don’t think there’s an end to the list of absolutely essential needs he has for this boat. A money pit, indeed! 31-Don had bought bananas for the munchkins to feed to the monkeys along the Silver River, but the monkeys must have been on vacation because he brought the bananas home. So when you have ripening bananas, it’s time to make banana bread. 1-Don has been spending his one week of retirement fishing. He brought home his catch this time for supper. 2-The Katie-doodle is now a junior Girl Scout, thanks to the bridging ceremony today. She wasn’t keen to pose for me, but I love this shot -- it’s so her!
