Is that the building or the signage for the building? Just curious. The concept they use to present the facts and their goal for the future is very hopeful. I like how you are scrapping this series. The lack of embellishment is perfect given the subject matter.
Wonderful!! Great colors!! And war definaly shapes (or reshapes) your life!! Our family will never be the same since DH served in Iraq!! His whole family is shaped by war...his dad served 3 terms in Vietnam, His brother served in Desert Storm and Now he has served in Iraq!! Who was it that said, "War is hell!!" Well, they got it right!! But your right, there is hope!! NEVER give up hope!!
Wow- I must visit there someday- War has changed mine & my family's life- my FIL is a Korean vet- my DH a Desert Storm and OIF III vet - so I can really relate to that museum. Thanks for describing it & sharing- love the colors you chose to highlight the photo & the impact it has.
This layout is a photo of the IWMN - it's exhibits are based on the war shapes lives - there exhibits are often stark, chilling and are brought to life by real life narrated stories told in movies that are shown across every wall and surface in the main exhibit hall whilst you are looking at other exhibits at various times. A car bomb story was being played whilst we were there - it was unbelievable. Despite the horror of war, this place still leaves you with a little hope that perhaps maybe we will learn from the past. We must not forget but must look to our future and protect it for our children
