My kids are 8 and 9 years old and this was the first year we were able to take them to the local mountains to play in the snow because my daughter has leukemia and had to stay out of that type of weather while she was undergoing chemotherapy. This was a true milestone in their life and such a special trip. They LOVED it and on our way up the mountain, the snow started to fall. It was absolutely breathtaking. Wish I could have captured how pretty those glittery snowflakes looked as they fell from the sky.
