I love this for many reason! One being she had a cat named Itchy! We had a cat we loved very much named Itchy! I love your choice of papers for the challenge! Beautiful job on this.
Wonderful tribute to someone who played a large part in your life - love your neutral color palette, your layering and stitching - wonderful timeless photo ~
Nice....coool colors. I love childhood memories and lucky you that you have a photo....how nice. I am interested in the techniques you used to fade and distress this.....really lovely photo.
Layout for the challenge on rockin Scrappin Grams. We followed a sketch by sketchinspiration.ing.com We were to use a monochromatic scheme, but could use neutrals. Background cardstock is: Authentique, Second Layer is from Hobby Lobby. Journaling reads: This lady is Mrs. Elsie Weis. She was our neighbor when I was born. I called her Weis when I was old enough to talk. I loved her. She was like a Grandma to me. Her grandson Tommy would come to visit her. We washed out hair in cherry juice from her cherry tree. The cat is Itchy. I got to keep one of her kittens.
