Stunning --- simply stunning!!! Love looking at your pages. The blue hues to chose are perfect. And what a terrific creature to see. You've made a very beautiful piece!
This is my first visit to your gallery & WOW, what an amazing greeting!! The different tones of blues & greens are perfect reflection of peacock (in real life they look like someone painted on their feathers too)! The whole lo is fabulous. :)
Oh, this is very pretty! The blue and green hues are perfect matches for the peacock photo, and I like your design! (I have the same glittery peacock paper from Michaels and love it, but I haven't used it yet.)
Oh my WOW!! I love the gorgeous shades of blues and greens you used here...and the textures and shimmer!! a total fave for me!! this page is a stunner! xo
You have captured the peacocks colors wonderfully Melissa! I just love all the shimmer and shine that you got with the Lumiere Paints and Jacquard Powders~would love to see it IRL!!
AWESOME - love the colours. Your work is always so innovative and unique. So many techniques, textures and pretty details to see. Great job with the masking take and gesso, paints & powders.
WOW wow this is gorgeous, love the colors. I would love to see some peacocks. My grandfather had a neighbor who had some. They make a scary noise. I love how you can use all the paints and pearlex powders. That is something I don't know how to use.
This gorgeous - it has to be magnified to really appreciate the textures, and colors and the wonderful bling - love what you did with the peacock ribbon - stunning - your work is awesome ~
Thanks for looking! My bil said this photo would come out, i wasnt going to take it because it was so dark out. On the way home from Disney World we stopped to see dhs bro and family. We took a drive to the Everglades. It was too late to go out on a boat so we hung out for awhile on the dock there and looked around. I got the idea of the texture under the pic from Contadina K from her utube. Its masking tape with gesso on it. The green flowers on the right of the photo, the center of the upper one is from Quicksilver. I put some more bling on it. The blue earring on the flower below that is from my sis. I sprayed watercolor ppr with dylusions for the bg. I used a peacock stamp all around but its pretty faint. Underneath the photo theres glittery ppr from Michaels with a peacock print. The big crystal at the lower right is from my sis. I think i used it on another lo but i dont know which. I didnt ever think ide use that peacock ribbon, although ive tried to many times. On a few previous los though ive fussy cut the feathers out of it and used them. The surface of the bg is utee with lumiere paints and the jaquard pearlex powders. The tiny crystals around the photo , a lot of them are Swarovski. The peacock is standing on the roof of an open structure there. Its probably really pretty to hear the rain on the metal roof. The Contadina K tutorial is called "Seeds" ,you can see it by going to the Scraps of Darness and Scraps of Elegance site under tutorials. I was pretty surprised the artist made something so elegant from masking tape!!
