Journaling: My sweet children, here is what I saw when I walked into the room the other day. Your dolls were all lined up and tucked in for their naptime! This truly made my day. I think that's because there is so much focus in the parenting world on preventing bad behavior – how to stop you from doing X, Y, or Z. The constant redirecting and disciplining is exhausting and sometimes makes me wonder why any rational person would choose to have kids. And then I see this – evidence a good behavior emerging in you simply by imitating me. It's the seemingly mundane tasks of daily living that help train you to be nurturing and responsible individuals. So, thank you for making my day!
