this is an example of one of little baskets I made for the students on my floor (I'm an RA at my college) - I put one outside each person's door the morning classes started after spring break to help 'ease the pain' of the transition a little bit :) (the baskets were filled with chocolate!)
To make the baskets, I used a pattern from my Stampin' Up! demonstrator - very easy! pm me if you want more info. I stamped the base square before folding it into the basket, and used mini brad to attach the handle (which said "Welcome back! love, Julie and Tommy" (Tommy is my partner RA on my floor). One of the cool things I found when stamping was to use the SU Stampin' Spots directly on the paper (that's what the squares are). The bright "V" shapes are from the corners of the stampin' spot squares. On other baskets I used different stamps, like flowers (just did a whole variety of things). Then I filled the baskets with crimped paper "grass" and some hershey's mini candy bars.
DawnDCraig was wonderful and overnighted me a huge pack of pastel cardstock so that I could get these done in time! thanks, Dawn!
