This is the fishing pond my brother had built behind his house and it is really well stocked. You drop a line in and count to ten and you have a fish! Bill didn't believe it - but it is that easy. He stocked it that full so the smallest of the grandchildren can easily catch a fish.

The guy with the white beard and white hair - that is my brother, Randy. He plays Santa Claus at all the local functions. Even when not in his Santa suit - when he walks into the mall around Christmas all the kids run to him. He said it is really fun to get so many Christmas cards every year from friends and people from church with their kids on his lap when he's playing Santa. How many people get Christmas cards with their picture on them? He's Santa for the local nursing home and schools and even the churches in the area. We went into a restaurant last year with him and every child in the place just stared at him and one woman came up to him and asked to have her picture taken with Santa. He was not in his Santa suit.

Anyway, - the little doghouse looking thing in the middle is where the ducks lay their eggs. Then my brother collects them and puts them in the incubator and hatches them and then puts them back in the pond when they are a little larger. If they hatch in the little dog house and go in the water, some of the catfish are so big they will eat them.

The two-story house across the pond (it is in one or two pictures) is Randy and Denvia's (my brother's wife) home and the other structure to the left is a huge storage place for their houseboat.

There is also a dock (they are standing on it) for fishing and it has a picket fence all around it so the smaller grandchildren cannot fall in the pond and there is also a picnic on the dock under the shelter in the fenced area but you really can't see it. There is a gate the smaller children cannot reach to get in from the land side and a latch they can't reach to open the gate to the water.
