Hi there! This is a canvas layout I created for the OUAS July challenge. I used lots of mediums to create the background of my layout and I also challenged myself to not use flowers! That was tough, to say the least,lol! The pic is of my baby girl while we were on vacation in California. She had never been to a beach before and was so excited but apprehensive. She emphatically told me she would not be getting in the water because she was scared of the sharks and jellyfish. So she played in the sand and watched her cousins and sister playing in the water. She kept getting closer and closer to the water as the day went by. Then I saw her stand and look out into the ocean. She stood still for a minute contemplating and then ( to our surprise) ran right into the water! I was so proud of her for conquering her fears all on her own. And I was so glad to have captured this moment on film, right before she took the plunge. I wrote the story on a tag and made a pocket on the back of the canvas. This way I will always remember my brave little girl conquering her fears for the first time.
