Beautiful Kathy!!! Grandparents can be such a wonderful influence on their grandchildren!!! This is so very heartwarming!!! Good luck with your surgery!
Beautiful heartwarming layout of your dgp's!! Love your pretty details and the doiley is a lovely addition!! I hope all goes well with your surgery and wish you a speedy recovery...you will be in my thoughts and prayers!!
What a lovely layout and color scheme Kathy! Thank you for sharing the story of your grandparents. My great-grandma on my Mom's side was full blood Cherokee Indian. So interesting. My grandma and Mom were both seamstresses and passed that along to me as well as crocheting. I have dabbled in quilting a little also but it was always too tedious for me! I'm so sorry to hear you have to have surgery and I pray all goes well for you. Thank you for sharing your lovely layout.
Good morning dear friends! I've already tried to load this once, but somehow messed it up...can you say MONDAY???? Argh!
This is a lo of my Grandma and Grandpa Oliver. I would live with them when my DD was overseas in the Navy. My DGP was the only Father I knew for 2 years! My DGM was a seamstress, quilter and crocheter! Which is probably where I got my interest in those hobbies! She also raised Parakeets, and was part Choctah and Cherokee American Indian. So, it was natural for me to add the doily, feathers and birds to this lo. I used a MS punch that I have had for some time.
This month's kit at SOE is so gorgeous! It is filled with Websters Pages, Bo Bunny and tons of embellishments, just perfect for my lo.
Thank you so much for all your love, it truly means the world to me and is so inspiring! I am having my 4th inner ear surgery in 1 1/2 years at the end of this month. It's a scary one as they are going to have to drill into my skull, etc. I'm trying to get as much scrapping done as I can before then. I know I'm in God's hands, but I'm such a whuss about these things.
I hope that your week is filled with a World of Beauty and Peace this week! Big Alaska Bear Hugs!!!!!!
