I like your journaling - it gives a good background and is inspiring. You only live once, so true! Love your choice of colors. The teal looks great and emphasizes the beautiful color of the water.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful pages! I loved this place. I didn't go in the water but my husband did. I took pictures of him. We were on a tour and didn't have a really long time so I told him to swim and I would take pictures.
Wow. I learned something today. The cenote is gorgeous and how interesting the catfish live in them. The water is so blue. I like your felt flowers with the buttons.
2 page LO about our visit to a cenote as part of our Cancun 2013 trip. A cenote is basically a sinkhole formed from the collapse of portions of a cave. This cenote was extremely cold! The journaling on the left side talks about the ritual significance of cenotes to the ancient Mayans. It also talks about how cold the cenote was, but how glad I am that we braved the cold to try it out! Flowers at the bottom are on top of felt buttons. The title is also felt.
The right side has a circle border strip that I cut into three pieces -- I added small craft mirrors to add depth to the page. Vellum quote on the teal chipboard reads "Wandering re-establishes the original harmony which once existed between man and the universe." The black catfish were swimming in the cenote! The far right photograph shows a zoomed out view of the cenote and the cave.
