Wow, another amazing page Melissa! I so love this, the colors, the shine and all your amazing details! This must have cost you a lot of time, beautiful and very fav to me!
Well include me in the WOW club! This is really gorgeous & how you made it look like the ocean is amazing! Wonderful "ocean" colors & created with great imagination!:)
this looks even more fabulous here than it did on FB!! I absolutely love the colours, and your work with the microbeads has really captured the look of water. Love the textures and details; I definitely want to find time to check out your blog post!
I have been wondering where you have been? Now I know~off working on this beauty!! So much amazing detail~I know you had to log some hours in on it, and they have certainly paid off! So magical and completely delicious!!
I am up late, can't sleep, bored...and then I jumped on SB.com and saw this wonderful creation! My jaw dropped down to my chest (because I am laying down...lol)! This is fabulous! You know I think more IS more! And there are so many beautiful details, I will be dreaming of sea horses and mermaids if I ever get to sleep! A masterpiece! Fav!
A masterpiece of texture and color. I love the ocean and this is so full of beautiful pieces to look at, the microbeads really catch my eye, the charms, everything! Always amazed by your gorgeous details!
Wow Melissa! Look at all those wonderful details! You sure put a lot of time and effort into this lovely piece of work! Love those colors...my favorites. Did you paint that mermaid and dolphin? It is all wonderful!
Thanks for looking , and any comments will be most welcome. The blue lace butterfly at the upper left is from Quick Silver. The square lavender bling , sequins, and bright pink seed beads are from Abbygirl. The clock at the middle left edge is from 48FiveTime.Also from her is the square mirror at the lower right. I broke the clock face in two because time has no meaning in this underwater world.(i know, yeah right). The lavender lace and beautiful butterfly are from Reneabouquet. The feathers are from my yard, mockingbird and blue jays. The mermaid and dolphin i traced from a greeting card, the outer lines. The texture is from gloss gel medium over a wide piece of lace.
I replaced yesterdays picture with this one. This one is in the sunlight, yesterday it was pretty cloudy. At the upper right is a piece of Depression glass I got for free from an antiques store. I had already bought a fair amount over time. I like this piece, its triangle shaped, and I have no idea what its for. I could look it up I guess. Maybe wind chimes, or a chandelier?
Later today I'll put more pics and about how I made this on my blog. ok I did write a bunch of stuff on my blog but somehow messed it up. Nothing is there. I did put a couple more photos of this on there. I ll go there now and write some stuff. Theres written info on my blog now about this. Also if you click on the photo here, at the crab at the middle bottom. I put a frame shape of gesso poured on all around the page. While it was wet I dropped in dark blue Vintaj patina paint. I got the most amazing feathery blue effect. I didn't like the way it looked with the pale aqua, so covered most of it up. Next to the crab though, you can see a little of it. Im going to post some pics of how it looks when its uncovered. Its pretty weird looking!
