I have a couple of these as well. I keep all of my stamp pads in them, and various other small items like my paint swatches that I get at the hardware store.

I have one just like this! I couldn't fit my inks and didn't like the way it held my ribbon ( plus could only put the real thin ones) So I pulled out some of the slats and made wider areas, then crafted little boxes to slide into the spots. Plan to house my cheap little stamps (like Studio G). There is a pic in my gallery if you want to see! Enjoy your new find!

I bought this at the thrift store for $ 5.00. its supposed to be used for cassettes ,,but I have one in my scrap room gallery photos I painted it white and use for my Stampin up inks, some people also use them for their ribbon.
