My son and a tiny baby in the childrens unit where he works - we took some little gifts for the kids, which was great fun. When we went out to watch him playing football with the boys, I was shocked to see the pitch looked more like a tip - chickens and goats scratching, and litter and glass everywhere. Made me realise how fortunate we really are. We drove down to Cape Agulhas - even more south than the Cape of Good Hope - beautiful scenery everywhere, surrounding the little shacks where so many thousands still live.
