Photos of one of my April in Paris roses in October 2009. Journaling says: I was very excited to add this rose to my collection. It is a lovely pale pink and creamy white - much lighter than my Color Me Pink. After two bushes failed to take last year, I gave it a third try this year, and finally, late in the season, I got some blooms.

Sadly, this bush didn't come back the next spring for 2010. I don't know why this variety hates me, but I'm not giving up. I was just planning my order for this spring, and I'm planning to get this one again.

This is my example for my February Four Categories Challenge - Category Two ~ Color: Navy Blue & Pink. All the dark paper, flowers, buttons, and rick rack are navy blue - I know some of it looks black in the photo. There is no black on this LO. The twist is to have glitter on the page - I have 2 different glitter alphas in the title, and there is glitter on the blue velvet flowers.

This is for
1) February Sewing Challenge with the twist to use pink stitching. I machine stitched the top and left borders and sewed on the pink buttons with pink thread. I hand stitched the circles with dark pink floss. The navy buttons are sewed on with navy thread.

2) VLB Challenge to use buttons, washi, and Thickers on a LO. I have 5 buttons. I used washi on the top left corner of the left photo and to hold down the lower left corner of the journaling block. 'Paris' is done with a Thickers font.

3) February Music Challenge - Song Title.

I printed the journaling on vellum. The washi is from my friend Mindy (mindyradio), and the large fushia fabric flower is from my friend Eileen (ncyankee). Thanks ladies :)
