How on earth did I miss this one????? I don't know, but what I do know is that it is simply spectacular!!! That photo is amazing! I love, LOVE how you scrapped it. That is one of my favorite writings! Makes me cry every time I read it. And this brought tears to my eyes - such wonderful memories! Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us!
Oh My Gosh, the photo reminds me of my favorite Christmas movie, "Miracle on 34th Street". You could have played the little girl! This is so sweet and adorable and pretty and precious!!!
What a perfect picture with Santa. It's simply a gorgeous page. You should never think we fellow scrappers think you're an egotist for scrapping yourself. I for one am happy to hear your story. Especially with these amazing photos.
That must of been a real treat for sure and so is seeing all of these great photos of you when you where younger. Beautifully done page and love how you got the focus on the photo by adding the frame.
I never tire of your childhood photos Alice! This one is no exception...it's adorable! AND, it looks like it is just straight out of the movie "Miracle on 34th Street"! Precious layout and embellies! Keep 'em coming!
I adore that photo!!! Love how you designed around it! And...you should never feel guilty for doing something for yourself....you are a truly remarkable person, so celebrate it!!!
What an adorable photo of you and Santa! It looks like it came straight out of the movie, Miracle on 34th Street! The G45 pps go so perfectly together! I enjoy seeing the layouts of you! I started a book of me a long time ago and have never finished it! I understand what your saying and have felt the same way! But I know we shouldn't! Maybe one day I will get it finished! Thanks for the inspriation!
You are NEVER selfish! Finally somebody who scraps their own childhood! Wonderful layout, just love it. All the details, so pretty and the photo is ADORABLE
I love this photo and I think many of us scrappers are guilty of not doing many layouts with photos of themselves, which is such a great shame! adorable LO!
What a sweet and festive page! Amazing paper, embellishments, the photo frame! And little Alice is adorable! I enjoy your pages! And Happy Mother's Day to you!
Alice, I too love walking down memory lane with you....keep the pages coming!!!!! This page is fabulous....has such a wonderful old time feeling!!!! Not that we are old, of course!!!!!!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh Alice I love seeing your wonderful heritage photos, including you. They are so cute and fun to see. Love this G45 paper you used as it's so that era. Mine too. Love the big nutcracker and the frame sweet Chez49 gave you. And Santa looks like a the real Santa. lol
I don't want to look like an egotist. so I need to explain - I'm working through my heritage photos chronologically, and am up to the time frame when I was a little girl - hence all the pages with pictures of me. I'm thinking that I was just four years old in this picture and know that this was a Santa from a department store in New York City. I remember that this store had a magnificent Christmas display with a train that ran around the ceiling. It was really a special treat.
The pp in this LO is from the G45 Nutcracker Sweet collection. The picture frame was from my good friend, Chez, to whom I give a big thank you. The small wood embellies are Prima and the brass lion's head I bought from an etsy store.
