My friend who is a brilliant quilter had me over yesterday to make something useful out of all of the little receiving blankets she had passed down to me. I thought we would just sew together four of them and make a big blanket, but she wanted to teach me some quilting basics and this is what we came up with. The backs of each blanket are different patterns of pieces than the front. Now I can use them for something other than wiping up spit up!
