What an amazing experience to see the hawk so close and you had a camera!!! Love the LO with the trees. How smart of you to use one for the journaling.
I love the natural outdoorsy flavor this one has. Hawks are magnificent to watch - we have a family of at least 5 or 6 that live in our neighborhood. A few years ago one got into our pool dome and was trapped. He flew into a wall of our house near the pool and inside the closure and it stunned him and he fell. My husband had to pick him up and take him out of the dome. With a trickle of water from our garden hose he was revived and flew off.
One afternoon I had the museum door open for fresh air, and heard this loud swoosh. A big, beautiful hawk landed on the branch of a tree about 25 yards from me!! Naturally I had my camera right at hand to take these shots! He (or she!) was so heavy the branch swayed under his weight! He looked around for some dinner, then took off in the sky! It was such a treat to see him up close!
I punched these borders out at LEAST two years ago, just after the CM border punches made a splash. The top pinetree was a Cricut cut I made years ago as well, the side pinetrees were a handcut from the negative of the diecut. Originally i made the handcut as a tab for hidden journaling to tuck under that photo, but I liked it too much to hide! The title was cut in the Cuttlebug using "Wingo Zingo" and "Your Not The Boss of Me" dies. The large "Wild" was fussy cut by hand.
Done for the Music Challenge, Category 1 Lyrics (the Talking Heads), Hoarders, because so many pieces were cut so long ago for just this type of project, Pagemaps #3, and Scrap with Your Scraps.
