I never know if it's “acceptable” to photograph things like this … anything having to do with death/graves/grieving. My youngest asked if we could go visit Chewie (our Rottie that passed away a little over a year ago) over Thanksgiving weekend. I wanted to remember this, how important he still is to her and all of us, even though he is gone and we have adopted another dog. I thought it was best just to keep it simple (no embellishements or competing patterns) and let the photograph tell the story.
