I was so excited when I heard that this month's Garden theme is die cuts ! I've recently become somewhat obsessed with my Quickutz Silhouette digital cutting machine, so I was eager to try out some of the shapes in the TwoPeas store.

Believe it or not, every single piece of paper on this page was cut using a digital cutter. The main scallop circle and the circle frame were both cut from the Card Shapes Designer Cuts. Instead of cutting smaller card pieces, I simply resized them before sending them to the cutter so that the final size would fit inside an 8x8 page protector. I also cut the label shape from Journaling Shapes 1. And then I picked a typeface on my computer for the title of the page.

All in all, it was super fun to make! I also enjoyed setting up all the pieces on my computer before cutting it. I had to sort of digitally design the page before I started cutting. So all of you digital scrapbookers out there, digital cutters are right up your alley! :)

Anyhow, enjoy!

Journaling reads: "Straight out of college, my first job was only a 15-minute drive from home. I totally took it for granted! Now I'm working 45 minutes away from home and I'm loggin a LOT of extra miles. It was hard at first, but now I've become introduced to audiobooks. MUCH much better!" Journaled 12 April 2009.
