Hi Peas! Welcome to another video of the weekly IN THE MOOD TO SCRAP series! It's a cool idea where a garden girl creates a mood-board and based on it, creates a scrapbook page. I am going to show (and explain) to you how this layout, which is based on a Pinterest moodboard, came together! You'll find a new lesson in this series in the Videos section of Two Peas each Tuesday. Here's the link to my pinterest board “art + art journals” [pinterest.com].This week I got inspired by some of my favorite artists: Philippa Leith, Alyn Carlson and Juan Casini. I incorporated different elements from the pictures on my mood-board and also sticked to the main colors of the board: yellow, beige and peach. I loved the watercolors, the thread, the fragility of the art pieces and the soft color schemes. Here´s a bit about the products I chose:This time I chose the products a bit differently. Instead of looking for my favorite brands, I went through my stash, looking for papers and embellishments that would fit the color scheme of my mood-board. I used Gelatos to create the background, glitter from American Crafts, papers from American Crafts and Amy Tangerine, vellum and twine, stickers by Allison Kreft for Webster´s pages and Simple Stories, a flower punch, a clip by Crate Paper (DIY Shop), stamp by Elle´s Studio, Washi Tape by Glitz Design, white cardstock by Bazzill, journaling tag by Pebbles, a pencil brush, foil, water and a sewing machine to add stitches. My challenge this week: Get inspired by a piece of art and transfer it (or single elements) onto a scrapbooking page (or any other papercrafting project). Every month we will draw a winner from all the MOOD TO SCRAP entries and reward them with a $10 gc. It will be announced on the 2peas blog.
