This if for Glitter Girl's The Journey Home Challenge. I really wanted to scrap this picture of my youngest son and my husband together and document how very much Justin is morphing into his dad. I love the pic with the Instagram app that turned it sepia. I looked at the first Pinterest board that GG listed and only found one pin (Winter Color Combo) that I liked for this pic but the colors were a little too cool. I wanted to stick with the earthy feel of the picture so I looked at the other Pinterest board and really like the colors in Learning to Sleep by soaphousemama, the project by adriennealvis (pinned by Jen Kinkade) and I'm With Awesome by Noel Culbertson. In fact I had the same collection that Noel used so I pulled it out and used the woodgrain chevron from the Dapper Dan collection by Glitz. I also pulled like colored paper from some Basic Grey, Echo Park and Lily Bee. Then I pulled out some wood veneers which are in the same color family and various shades of brown flair and this was apparently enough to get my creative juices flowing.
