While we usually don't celebrate the 4th of July in Japan, we are able to buy small fountain and sparkler fireworks throughout the summer. We can light them in a local park or beachside, just about anywhere deemed safe. This was the year that Reo was finally old enough to be able to handle the sparklers by himself, but he wanted nothing to do with them. He was terrified of all the fireworks and didn't even want to be close to them. I tried to hold him while I held a small sparkler but he tried to run away and we both ended up toppling over. {Side note: Flowers are called Hana in Japanese and Fireworks are called Hanabi, or flowers of fire.} While running away from the Hanabi, Reo found a patch of small weed flowers. He called me over and quickly told me that he liked these Hana much more than Hanabi. credits:papers and elements from 1776 by Studio ViVa Artistryfont is Sugarbabe Dana from All Together Now 3 by Darcy Baldwinpage template is by Fiddle-Dee-Dee DesignsThank you so much for looking!
