I used the Studio Calico June Roundabout Project Life main kit to complete this Project Life Thankful Thoughts spread. Our family follows the same routine every night at bedtime and while I've journaled about it here and there in my previous PL spreads I've never gone in to great detail. It is such an important part of our everyday lives that I decided it needed an entire spread devoted to it.The Left page of the spread is a Becky Higgins design G page protector that I flipped upside down and used the front as the back. I used the digital printable 3x4 and enlarged it to a 4x6 for my Thankful Thoughts title. For my two horizontal 3x4 cards I used my sewing machine to make a more secure pocket. I added stickers letter stickers to the Hello card since the thankful thoughts come from the month of May. I used one of the 3x4 cards to handwrite my journaling and needed more space so I added a flip up page protector. The journaling reads: Each evening at bedtime the girls snuggle up into bed and each of us shares something from the day that we are thankful for or grateful that happened. We also share our favorite part of the day. In January, I began a journal where I record our thankful thoughts and favorite parts of the day as each member of the family shares them. Then we give one big “family hug” where every one gives one giant bear hug at the same time. Followed by, “Do you know how much I love you?” and the girls answer back, “to the moon and back!” Then we finish our bedtime routine with a story and kisses before lights out and going to sleep. These precious evening moments with my girls and matt (on evenings when he is not on shift) have become my favorite part of everyday! The Right side of the layout is page protector that I found stashed away that I believe is from a Becky Higgins Baby Kit years ago…. but I discovered you can easily make if you have a design e page protector or even a 12x12 protector and sewing machine. Just make sure you know what pictures you want where before you start sewing because once they are in place they are there permanently. I cut all of my photos to 3x3 and corner rounded them. I used the stickers for each family member and chose a few of their thankful thoughts throughout the month of May to highlight.
