I love to start my cards with white paper-yes, no printed paper on this one. And when I can play with water and my inks like I did here I know I am in for some fun time! I hope you can see the brushed ink and water adds depth to background stamp. The current Stamp N Dash challenge on the stamping forum is to make an easel card.Photo #1-I created a card cover with distress inks and water on this Penny Black background, Hero Arts butterfly and mat.Photo #2-Easel card open with Hero Arts sentiment and hand painted mat with distress stainsPhoto #3-Side view of card Photo #4 Close-up watercolor butterfly. Note the gray flecks on the mat beneath the butterfly wings is brushed pewter distress stain and sparkles IRL.
