This card is for Maria's Snow White Challenge: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/userblogpost.asp?id=71484 [twopeasinabucket.com]
Maria, this one was a challenge for me. I looked through my gallery, and found only a few cards that didn't have white, cream, ecru, etc. on them. I decided to put my brand new Inka Gold to work. I also used a cool stamp that I don't think I've used before. Thank you for the challenge.
The colors are warmer and a bit brighter IRL, and the frame has a shine to it.
CARD: 4 6/8“ x 6 5/8” Stampin' Up black cardstock
FOCAL IMAGE: Toybox Stamp 140-lb. hot-press watercolor paper Versafine Ink–Onyx Black Ranger Super Fine Detail Black Embossing Powder Talons Watercolours Prismacolor Pencils–Metallic Purple, Cool Grey 10% Zest-It (for blending)
FRAME: Stampin' Up black cardstock Spellbinders Mega Nestabilites, Curved Rectangles Cuttlebug Embossing Folder–from the Oriental Weave Set Inka-Gold Metallic Rubs–Violet, Gold, just a touch of Steel Blue
The Inka-Gold colors seemed way too bright to me last night when I added them to the frame. I might have added a bit of Rub-Ons from Craft-T Products to tone them down. I remember trying it on a scrap piece, but I can't remember if I added them to the frame itself. If I did, it probably came off during the buffing process. The colors seem fine to me this morning.
